The Ceramic Ferrule For Stud Welding is an indispensable part in the welding process of the shear stud of the connector.
Ceramic Ferrule For Stud Welding has the following functions:
◇Protect the welding pool by generating metal vapor with sufficient current intensity in the combustion chamber;
◇The arc is concentrated and stable, reducing the arc blowout;
◇Form the replaced weld pool to the welding ring and support the weld pool. In addition, it protects the operator from arcs and splashes. The ceramic ferrule is only used for one time welding, and once the molten metal solidifies, it is removed. The integral ceramic ferrule with high-precision size and low water absorption rate can significantly improve the welding effect.
Ordering Information:
Ceramic ferrules usually ordered with shear connectors together, if you need only ceramic ferrules, please give us following details
Product name + stud type + specification + quantity + special request (if have), for example:

Specifications
1. Applicable Scope of bolt and nut
(1) Nominal diameters: Φ10-25mm cheese head performed shear connector for composite constructions with ceramic ferrules for arc stud welding.
(2) Shear connectors are typically used in composite steel construction for holding concrete slabs to steel members to resist shear forces and increase shear loading capacity in steel buildings, bridges, columns caissons, containment liners, etc. They also act as embedment anchors on miscellaneous embedded plates, frames, angles, strip plates, attachments and connections.
2. Normative references

Arc Shields (Ferrules)
Our arc shield or ferrule is made of cordierite material. Cordierite has properties that make it very suitable for stud welding. Cordierite has low thermal expansion and low thermal shock. Our Ferrules can instantly rise from the ambient temperature to the welding temperature and can prevent cracking or explosion. Stud welding requires the use of ferrules to concentrate heat and retain molten metal at the bottom of the stud until it cools. After cooling, the ferrule is broken to expose the weld. In fact, the welding strength is ultimately stronger than the stud itself. In most applications where stud welding is prevalent, sealing washers are required. The most common applications are bridge and road maintenance and the construction of buildings and skyscrapers.
