Features:Global Ceramic supplies porcelain standoff insulators from 2.5kv up to 15kv/110kv BIL. Porcelain standoff insulators are important components in various electrical applications and are used to isolate power sources from making contact with conductive surfaces. Typically, porcelain insulators are used to support copper and/or aluminum bus bar in switchboards, motor control centers and panel boards.
The design and testing of these porcelain standoff insulators complies with the mechanical and electrical requirements of industry standards.
The porcelain standoff insulators provided by Global Ceramic offer consistent reliability and performance and are typically maintenance-free. These porcelain standoff insulators have a durable outer gray glaze coating that repels dust and dirt, preventing it from adhering to the porcelain standoff insulator and interfering with its overall performance.
Our porcelain standoff insulators are designed with brass inserts on each end of the porcelain standoff insulator with a center mounting hole in each insert. The brass inserts are held in place with Portland cement so that the inserts remain in place during high mechanical stresses as well as in high-temperature environments.
Porcelain Standoff Insulator
These Standoff Insulators are constructed of the highest quality Wet Process Electrical Porcelain. Glaze is ASA Gray(Munsell 5BG 7.0/0.4 Inserts are of brass tapped 11/16’ deep(full thread) and are cast in place with high temperature alloy lead(Brinnel 16,550 Degrees F melting point).All are tested electrically after assembly.
